Invitation and access code
- My workshop has invited me. How do I see my repair job?
- Open the link from the email — or enter your email address and the 4-digit code under guest access. You don’t need an account.
- How long is my invitation valid?
- 30 days; a session ends by itself after 24 hours. Want to see it permanently? Register for free and take the repair job over.
- The code isn’t being accepted. What can I do?
- Use the same email address and the code from the newest invitation. After five code entries within 24 hours, guest access temporarily stops accepting codes — the link in the newest email keeps working. If that email is gone, ask the workshop for a new invitation.
Find a workshop and send a request
- How do I find a workshop near me?
- Enter a town or postcode on the map. Partner workshops (subscription) are highlighted; all other entries come from Google Maps and are marked as such.
- How do I get quotes for a repair?
- Describe it under “Post a repair request” — if there’s a partner workshop in your area, it can reply in writing. We’re just getting started: if there isn’t one yet, the app tells you when you send it. A reply isn’t guaranteed; you need a free account with a confirmed email address.
- Which vehicles are covered?
- Anything motorised: cars, motorbikes and scooters, vans, lorries and commercial vehicles, motorhomes and caravans.
Reporting and blocking
- How do I report content?
- On a message, request or reply, tap “More actions” (⋮), then “Report message”, “Report request” or “Report reply”; you report a photo or video in the full-screen view with “Report photo or video”, and a workshop from your repair job. We check every report — with an account, you get the decision by email.
- How do I block a workshop — and unblock it?
- In the same menu: “Block”. After that, no requests go to that workshop any more and an open conversation ends; assigned repair jobs remain. To undo it: “Your account” → “Blocked workshops”.
Account and privacy
- What does Check deine Reparatur cost?
- It’s free for customers. Workshops use it with a subscription.
- How do I delete my account?
- Under “Your account” → “Delete account” — we delete within 30 days. More on that: Delete account.
- Where can I find out what happens to my data?
- In the privacy policy (in German). The app shows no ads and has no tracking. On this website we only measure if you agree.
- I run a workshop.
- Process and features are described under For workshops.
